利潤
2020 年 4 月 21 日，期油有史以來首次暴瀉至負數 -37.63 美元，導致中石油 2020 年上半年虧損。其後油價恢復正常並逐步回升，中石油的利潤亦大致按季上升，2023 年第一季高見 436 億元。
2023 年第二季利潤按年微跌 3.9% 至 416 億元，主要是 2023 年同期油價較 2022 年有所回落.
扣除非經常性利潤
2023 年第二季扣除非經常性利潤按年跌 13.5% 至 433 億元，主要是 2022 年同期基數較高.
每股收益
2023 年第二季的每股收益為 0.23 元人民幣，與 2022 年同期的 0.24 元，或 2023 年第一季的 0.24 元相若。
